One of the talk was focus on the Global Athletics Coaching Academy (GACA) of which Frank Dick is chairman. GACA is the new Coaching Body of World Athletics and Frank talked about its purpose to create a global, professional coaches’ alliance.

In the other speech, Frank talked on “Making excellence possible” in a panel discussion hosted by Jimson Lee.

If you have missed Frank’s talks at Runnerspace.com, you can watch the recording on Runnerspace.com website.

EACA is proud to announce two new Web Series

Next February will see two new EACA web series coming out! Jimson Lee will host the ‘Split Second’ series, dedicated to a technical insight on sprints, hurdles and relays.

Instead, EACA president Frank Dick will host a series with the title ‘Coach to Coach’, with the focus on how great coaches become great.

Two big italian names for the first episodes of both series

Frank Dick’s guest will be absolutely stunning: Antonio La Torre, Team Italy Head Coach! The architect behind the unpredictable five gold  medals for Italy is born in Manfredonia (Puglia) but he moved to Milan with the family when he was 9 years old. He got the Physical Education diploma in 1983 in Milan, while he was also working as technical designer for a big metallurgical company.  10 years later he graduated in Science and techniques of physical activities in Dijon (France). He coached several Race Walk athletes, including the 1999 World Champion and 2004 Olympic Champion Ivano Brugnetti.

Jimson Lee will host Marco Airale, coach to Darryl Neita, Ama Pipi and Jimmy Vicaut. Marco is a 32 years old italian coach from Chivasso (Turin), also graduated in physiotherapy with a master in osteopathy. He started coaching in Italy, with successful results (18 medals with 7 titles at various National Championships from 2015 to 2019). He also worked as therapist on the Juventus FC team for 3 years. In 2019 he became Performance Therapist of the Chinese National Team and he then worked as assistant coach to Randy Huntington and Rana Reider until the last Olympic Games. After Tokyo, he founded his own training group which is currently based on Padova (Italy).

Episode 1 of the ‘Coach to Coach’ Series will be out next February 1st, while the opening of  ‘Split Second’  Series is scheduled for February 11th.

Exciting news

Hi everybody!

The 2021 season is over but we’re sure you all still have in your eyes all the stunning performance of this year’s summer.

To celebrate them, here at EACA we worked hard to make our members happy now it’s time to unroll a number of exciting news.

First, we cutted the price of the Pro membership from € 100,00 to € 60,00 per year.  Consequentially, we decided to withdraw the monthly subscription for both the Premium and Pro membership. This is because the yearly subscriptions’ prices are now both very affordable so there is no reason to offer monthly subscriptions.

But, hey: if you are a Premium or Pro member already and you don’t want to upgrade to a yearly subscription don’t worry: existing monthly membership will be still active.

But that’s not all, no way.

The table below shows the announcements for each membership level.

We tried to make everybody happy, adding content and opportunities to all the members of any level.

So, we really hope that you will enjoy all these new things at EACA because something very big is coming next week: the 2021 International Festival of Athletics Coaching programme!

Stay tuned!

PS: Dr. Frans Bosch asked us to remove his presentation from IFAC 2012 but, don’t worry: we will replace it soon with another presentation from IFAC 2012!
